>>> CANDLE BURNING TIPS:

Each time you light your candle burn it long enough for the melted wax to reach the edges of the glass/container — if not the edge, then within 1/8” or less. (Not to complicate what feels overly-complicated for simply burning a candle, but if it doesn’t burn all the way to the edge, but is close, this is fine. As the candle burns lower in the jar it will burn hotter, therefore melting the wax around the edges). Doing this creates the right “memory” for the best overall candle burning experience. Always trim the wick to 1/4” between burns to avoid excessive smoking. A 12oz candle’s average burn time should be about 3-4 hours for best performance. If you light a candle for 15 min each time it will inevitably tunnel down the center of the candle, wasting most of the wax and leaving you with significantly fewer burn hours. It may feel counterintuitive — like burning your candle for short times will make it last longer — but this is not the case. And a certain amount of wick-mushrooming is totally normal with natural cotton wicks, but if it starts to smoke, extinguish the candle, let it cool, re-trim to 1/4” and re-light. It is best practice to open a window when you are burning a candle.

If your candle starts to tunnel Try using this trick with aluminum foil.
