THE FORMULAThe main challenge in creating this formula (which took literal years) was getting the right consistency for the exfoliants, and fine salt + ground walnut shells turned out to be gentle and effective.
The hero ingredient, manuka honey, is known for its antimicrobial and humectant properties, drawing moisture into the skin and helping to maintain a healthy barrier. Pink Himalayan salt draws out impurities with trace minerals that support healthy skin function. Cold-pressed sunflower oil is high in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, and shea butter (rich in vitamins A and F) soothes, nourishes, and locks in hydration. Helichrysum supports cell renewal, calms inflammation, and pairs perfectly with sweet orange and ylang ylang essential oils.
a note on the packaging: I moved the Polish into a recyclable jar. It’s easier to use, easier to see how much you have left, and the formula includes a very clean preservative so wet hands aren’t an issue. Bamboo scoop included.

2–3 times per week is ideal for most skin types. If you have sensitive skin, start with once a week and adjust from there.

The formula is plant-based and free of synthetic fragrance, parabens, and harsh chemicals. That said, ground walnut shells are a physical exfoliant and may be too stimulating for very sensitive or reactive skin. We always recommend a patch test before first use.

That reputation comes from coarsely ground scrubs with irregular particles. Getting the right consistency for the exfoliants was the whole challenge of this formula, and it's why it took so long to create. The salt and walnut shells are fine and gentle, and the coconut surfactant cushions them against skin as you work them in. As with any physical exfoliant, patch test first and start with once a week if your skin is reactive.

Most users find they don't need to — the combination of shea butter, sunflower oil, and manuka honey leaves skin feeling nourished after rinsing. That said, if your skin tends toward dryness, follow with your usual moisturizer or body oil.

The formula includes a very clean preservative, so wet hands aren’t a problem. However, a small bamboo scoop is included with your order, which works to keep things tidy.

As with all the other body care products in our line, this product is formulated with high-quality, face-grade ingredients. It was concepted as a body scrub, but depending on your skin type, could absolutely be used on the face/neck/décolleté. The pink Himalayan salt and walnut shell exfoliants are very fine/gentle, but might be too abrasive for those with sensitive facial skin. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend keeping it below the neck.

DIRECTIONS
Apply to wet skin in the shower and use circular motions, massage gently over the body. Pay extra attention to rough areas like elbows, knees, and heels. Allow the product to work in briefly before rinsing thoroughly. Use 2–3 times per week. Avoid broken or irritated skin.
