  • How will I know how to use my fascia-care tools?

    There are detailed instructions and diagrams included with each fascia-care product that outline exactly how-to-use as well as the benefits. You can also refer to the correlating page on this website for even more information.

  • Are your products clean?

    Our products are carefully formulated using plant-based active ingredients resulting the most health-forward skin care applications possible. It is our main priority to reap the benefits of nature’s bounty (and pharmacy!) but also to honor science and the world of preservatives, emulsifiers, thickeners, humectants, occlusives, surfactants, etc. Whenever possible, we use the most natural form, and if none are available, we either skip the ingredient (or move on from the formula) or do diligent research to make sure that we are incorporating the cleanest option available.

  • Are your products vegan and gluten-free?

    Mostly, yes, but if you have sensitivities, please consult our comprehensive ingredients lists, both on the product page, as well as in the ingredients glossary. For example, we do use beeswax in certain products, but we also use other waxes, depending on the formulation need.

  • Where can I find the ingredients for a specific product?

    Each product page lists the ingredients in order of usage (higher on the list = higher percentage, lower/smaller). They are listed with both INCI names and common terms for total transparency. Each product page also lists the benefits and usually includes application instructions, and there is also an ingredients glossary that gives further information. The ingredients are also listed on each product label.

  • Are your products safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women?

    Always check with your doctor before using any skin care products during pregnancy and/or breastfeeding for maximum safety. Our products prioritize the use of natural, plant-based ingredients, but it’s impossible to predict how each person’s make up will respond, so patch testing is recommended as well.

  • Are your products safe for sensitive skin?

    in most instances, yes! But always, ALWAYS patch test before general use, and if you run into any issues, make sure to contact us within 30 days for a full refund. Many of our customers have sensitivities and find that both the active ingredients and the scents we include are very easy to tolerate. And you can always request an unscented version of a product — depending on what the ingredients are, we can usually accommodate this.

  • Where are your products made?

    All formulations are handmade and are created, produced and packaged right here in the studio in Portland, OR. If you are local, or are visiting the PNW, please reach out via email to set up a shopping appointment. It is the best way to see how it’s done and also to sample the various skin care products. And it is so cool to meet customers in person.

  • Do you use natural fragrances?

    We use essential oils, distillates, hydrosols, absolutes and extracts. On the rare occasion that a formula is not 100% natural, it is always free from parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, alcohols, PEGs, Triclosan, benzene & methylene chloride.   • Are your products clean?

    all formulas are: non-GMO, cruelty-free, organic (whenever possible), small batch produced, responsibly sourced, plant-based (except beeswax) and are free from: parabens, petroleum, silicones, toluene, oxybenzone, formaldehyde, MEA/DEA/TEA, talc, mineral oil, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, polyethylene glycol, artificial colourants, phthalates, hydroquinone, sulfates, PFAs, lanolin, MCI/MI.

ORDERS, SHIPPING + RETURNS FAQs

  • What is your shipping policy?

    We use both USPS and UPS shipping methods, depending on the rates and delivery times, and we ship to addresses within the 50 US states. Please allow 7-10 days for your order to arrive as most products are made to order.

  • Can I make a special request?

    Usually, yes :) Let us know in the NOTES section of the checkout process if you have a request… i.e. unscented products, a different delivery date, a special occasion/gift wrap, etc.

  • Can I return my order?

    yes, within 30 days of purchase for full refund, store credit or exchange. See our Returns Policy page for more detail. We do ask that you give a reason for your return as it will help us evaluate and improve our formulations and our offerings. Since we must throw away the product once returned, we do not cover the shipping cost.

  • Is it possible to add something or make a change to my order?

    In most instances, yes. In some situations we may not see your email in time, but will do our best to accommodate you and your needs. Please send us a note at hello@giabgoods.com to request an adjustment to your order.

  • Do you offer free shipping?

    All shipping rates have been carefully evaluated and are less expensive than standard USPS + UPS rates — in order to make it affordable for both our company as well as our customers!

  • What if my order arrives damaged?

    Please email us immediately at hello@giabgoods.com and include a photo of the goods that were damaged during shipping. We will respond asap with details for your replacement.

  • Can I include a gift message with my order?

    Absolutely! During checkout you will be asked if your purchase is a gift, and will be given the option to include a note.

GENERAL FAQs

  • What is an Open Studio and why do you have them?

    Open Studio Events are held seasonally, on each (or as close as possible) to each solstice or equinox. First, I have always loved celebrating the changing seasons, and second, it gives us a chance to connect with you a few times a year so you can see what is new, connect with other awesome women and join our party. Plus it is an excellent opportunity to try out the products in person.

  • What is the best way to find out about new products and events?

    Please sign up to receive emails in the footer of this website. We have massive respect for the INBOX, and only send emails on a monthly-ish basis. And it is the best way to find out about new offerings and details about the next Open Studio Event. We are also on instagram and facebook.

  • Can I find your products in stores?

    Not at this time. We prioritize using the highest quality ingredients but also feel very strongly about keeping prices accessible. Because most retailers need to purchase wholesale (about 50% of the retail cost) we would actually lose money in this venture after calculating the hard costs and time invested in hand-making each product. But never say never… whenever we are approached about wholesale, all factors are taken into account, so we never say never.

  • Do you sell gift cards?

    Yes! A digital gift card is perfect for last minute gifts of self care for your favorite people. It will arrive in their INBOX the same day you order it (unless you specify different instructions in the NOTES section during checkout).
